At Morrell Ranch we raise a herd of Whitetail Deer, one of America’s most beautiful animals. Named for their long white tail that is displayed when a deer senses danger, the Whitetail deer are the smallest members of the North American deer family. Even so, Whitetail bucks can weigh up to 300 pounds, and grow an impressive rack of antlers every fall to aide them in attracting females during mating season. Does give birth every spring to small, white speckled fawns.
At the turn of the century the Whitetail deer population was dangerously low due to unrestricted hunting and habitat depletion. With the help of wildlife managers and whitetail deer farmers, the population is restored to a healthy number.
Our female deer are handled from the time they are born and enjoy human interaction with our staff and guests. Don't miss out of a once in a lifetime experience and book during the Spring Fawn.
